Man Accused Of Burning Laptop In Fireplace In Golden

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Golden took a man into protective custody after police said he was burning a laptop computer in a fireplace.

Police were called out to a home on the 1900 block of Mount Zion Road around 6:45 a.m. Monday. Copter4 flew over the scene.

Police told neighbors to stay inside their homes after seeing smoke and smelling a strange odor. Hazardous material investigators were called in by police.

Nobody was hurt. The man was taken to the hospital and put on a mental health hold.
