Serious Injury Crash Closes Highway 85 During Morning Commute

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4)– Three people were rushed to the hospital Wednesday morning after a crash on Highway 85 south of the Denver metro area.

The crash happened at about 7:20 a.m. at Highway 85 and Daniels Park.

A blue Hyundai and a gold SUV collided head on. The man driving the Hyundai was rushed to a hospital in Littleton with serious injuries.

The driver of the SUV was rushed to the hospital with moderate injuries and the passenger in that vehicle suffered serious injuries.

Highway 85 was closed from Sedalia to Castle Rock for about an hour while the crash was cleaned up and investigators were on scene.

Authorities haven’t commented on who may be responsible for the crash.
