Man Dies After Fall From Balcony At Pretty Lights Show In Broomfield

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) - A fatal accident took place at a New Year's concert in Broomfield over the weekend.

The accident happened early Sunday morning at the Pretty Lights New Year's Eve show at the 1st Bank Center.

Police say a 20-year-old man fell from the second level balcony, behind the stage. He was critically injured and rushed to the hospital by helicopter. On Monday authorities said he died.

His name has not been released.

Investigators have interviewed security and staff at the venue and also friends and family of the victim but so far they haven't released many details about how the fall might have happened.
