FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- Colorado State Troopers said a driver was putting on makeup when she crashed her minivan with children inside earlier this month.

Seven people, including two 2-year-olds, were in the Honda Odyssey Dec. 10 when it crashed into a wire fence along I-25 near Fort Collins.

Troopers said the driver, Jennifer Lamblin, was putting on makeup while a passenger steered. That passenger, Trevor Johnson, apparently was falling asleep.

Both Lamblin, 30, and Johnson, 23, are facing charges of vehicular assault.
Lamblin wasn’t buckled up and was ejected from the minivan. Of the five children, only one was strapped in properly.
