Mentally Disabled Man Tattooed Against His Will

LAMAR, Colo. (CBS4)- A man has been arrested for allegedly forcing a variety of unwanted permanent tattoos on a mentally disabled man.

Terry Ausbun of Oklahoma gave the victim intoxicants and assaulted him with tattoos.

The victim has a mental capacity of a 4-year-old. He was given permanent tattoos on his right forearm, face and neck. Police said the tattoos have had a negative impact on his character and that the family said he is devastated by the incident.

The victim is frightened and embarrassed to go outside.

Ausbun was arrested for investigation of first degree assault, conspiracy to commit first degree assault, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and crimes against an at-risk adult.

He is being held at the Prowers County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

The conspiracy charge stems from Ausbun influencing a 13-year-old girl who was involved in the tattooing.
