2 Kmart Stores, 1 Sears Store Closing In Colorado
DENVER (AP) -- Kmart stores in Broomfield and Glenwood Springs are closing, along with a Sears store in Longmont.
The three stores are on a preliminary list released Thursday by Sears Holding Corp.
A total of 79 stores nationwide were included on the initial list. The retailer announced Tuesday it would close up to 120 stores.
The 125-year-old company hasn't said when they will close.
A spokeswoman for the company says each store employs between 40 and 80 people.
Sears and Kmart merged in 2005. The company now has about 3,560 stores in the U.S.
