Ski Cooper Finally Gets Enough Snow To Open

LEADVILLE, Colo. (CBS4) - The winter blast was good news for the folks at Ski Cooper as they got enough snow to finally open.

All of its lifts and 80 percent of its area opened to skiers on Saturday. As one of the older ski areas in the state, Ski Cooper doesn't make any snow, so it relies purely on Mother Nature.

Until now the winter had been so dry it couldn't open.
