Two Suspects Wanted In Theft From Murder-Suicide Scene

GRAND COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– Investigators with the Grand County Sheriff’s Office have identified two suspects they believe stole evidence from the scene of a murder-suicide in Grand County.

Jerod Reeves and Kimberly McCaffery are on the run. Investigators said the two were identified on surveillance video after using credit cards stolen from the crime scene.

The credit cards and gun were stolen from a van along the Colorado River last weekend. The bodies of a father and his son were in that van.

A wildlife worker found their bodies along the river near Kremmling.

Investigators believe William Ahrold, 62, of Denver shot and killed the 9-year-old boy and then turned the gun on himself.
