COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Colorado Springs have arrested and charged a father in the death of his 2-month-old child.
On Dec. 15, officers rushed to 4064 Westmeadow Drive, Apt. 204 in Colorado Springs on reports of a child not breathing. Harmone’e Elam was rushed to Memorial Hospital where she died a short time later.
An autopsy on the infant girl showed her death was a homicide as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and abdomen.
Police arrested the child’s father, Roderick Elam Jr. and charged him with child abuse resulting in death. Elam, 20, is being held on a $250,000 bond.
