Police Arrest Man For Poisoning Dogs In Firestone

FIRESTONE, Colo. (CBS4) - Police have arrested a man accused of poisoning dogs in Firestone.

Joseph Donald Losinski was arrested Tuesday in the death of two dogs on Aug. 8 in the 500 block of 5th Street.

Losinski was charged with two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.

"The arrest comes months after the suspicious death of the dogs. The dogs' owner had let the animals outside in the early morning, only to return 20 minutes later to find their bodies," police said in a statement.

Investigators developed enough probable cause to make an arrest.

"The community of Firestone paid close attention to this investigation," Chief of Police David Montgomery said. "This investigation will continue."
