Christmas Comes Early For Kids At Rocky Mountain Hospital For Children
DENVER (CBS4) - Christmas came a little early for some kids at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.
Six young cancer patients got quite the surprise -- brand new Xboxes.
The Joe Potenciano Leukemia Foundation helped organize the event. It's named for a man who died from leukemia. During his treatment Potenciano moved in with the family of 7-year-old Devon and the two became friends.
Devon helped pass out the gifts to honor his buddy.
The foundation says game systems like the Xbox give the young patients something fun to at least temporarily take their minds off the pain of treatment.
