DENVER (Denver Business Journal) – Physician Health Partners, a Denver medical management company, was chosen Monday as one of just 32 organizations nationwide for a pilot program aimed at reducing health care costs by eliminating the fee-for-service business model traditional to the American system.

Physician Health Partners, along with three partner independent physician practice associations, will be a part of the Pioneer Accountable Care Organizations initiative that is arguably the most important cost-cutting measure in the federal health care reform bill signed last year.
