'Girls Only' Returns To Denver For More Secret, Girly Fun

DENVER (CBS4) - The show "Girls Only: The Secret Comedy Of Women" is back in Denver.

The two-woman performance was a huge hit last time it was in the Mile High City and figures to be very popular once again. It runs at the Garner Galleria Theatre in the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Complex through the end of the year.

The goal of the show is laughter. It's inspired by Barbara Gehring and Linda Klein and their childhood diaries.

Out of those memories has come a show that's played the US and Canada with dreams of reaching women around the world.

CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody writes that the show "hits on subjects that all women know, all women can relate to and all women can laugh about."

It concerns all ages of a woman's life -- from childhood to puberty and from young adult to menopause. And while the comedy is aimed at women, men are certainly not the targets or left out in the cold.

In the end it's about finding the common thread on stage that all women share -- and giving everyone a chance to laugh about it.
