Dog Named ‘Lucky’ Looking For A Fresh Start

DENVER (CBS4)– A dog named Lucky is in Colorado looking for a fresh start. His hind legs became paralyzed after he was struck by a car.

Lucky had been living in a kennel in Missouri for the past two years. That’s when Jules Hill with Royal Rescue stepped in.

“When he first had his accident a veterinarian did say he would be able to walk but he’s had no treatment for two years,” said Hill. “He can have a normal life. It’s manageable.”

Hill’s own dog, Shayla, was once paralyzed and now only uses a wheelchair 25 percent of the time.

Hill has already raised money for a wheel chair for Lucky. She believes with some therapy he may be able to gain some mobility.

Anyone interested in adopting Lucky the dog should email Royal Rescue at or call (720) 878-3281.
