Dog Named 'Lucky' Looking For A Fresh Start

DENVER (CBS4)- A dog named Lucky is in Colorado looking for a fresh start. His hind legs became paralyzed after he was struck by a car.

Lucky had been living in a kennel in Missouri for the past two years. That's when Jules Hill with Royal Rescue stepped in.

"When he first had his accident a veterinarian did say he would be able to walk but he's had no treatment for two years," said Hill. "He can have a normal life. It's manageable."

Hill's own dog, Shayla, was once paralyzed and now only uses a wheelchair 25 percent of the time.

Hill has already raised money for a wheel chair for Lucky. She believes with some therapy he may be able to gain some mobility.

Anyone interested in adopting Lucky the dog should email Royal Rescue at royalrescue@earthlink.net or call (720) 878-3281.
