DENVER (CBS4) – A nurse who stole patients’ identities will not go to jail but will serve 6 years in community corrections.

Cannon Tubb was convicted of multiple counts of identity theft and theft of medical records. Prosecutors had asked that Tubb be sent to prison.

Tubb worked as a contract nurse for hospitals throughout the metro area in late 2010 and early 2011.

A victim discovered the crime after being contacted about a credit application. More victims were then uncovered.
