Family Says Noel Cunningham Committed Suicide
DENVER (CBS4) - The family of Noel Cunningham says the Denver restaurateur and humanitarian took his own life after recent health problems.
Cunningham passed away last week at the age of 62. He was the creative force behind Strings restaurant and his Cunningham Foundation was dedicated to helping children in Ethiopia.
In a statement released Tuesday, Cunningham's family said it wanted to make it clear he took his own life because questions were raised about how he died. The family also says it wants people to remember Cunningham's compassion and generosity.
A visitation is scheduled for Thursday evening at the Olinger Hampden Chapel in Denver. His funeral will be Friday morning at St. John's Episcopal Cathedral at 14th and Washington.
