It appears pretty likely Nene will take his 14 points and 7 rebounds to South Beach, so what will be next for the Nuggets?

It’s time to rebuild. Might-as-well get it over with, according to Vic Lombardi.

“It’s a short season and they’re no threat to win a championship. They’ll be lucky to make the playoffs with the roster they have right now,” Lombardi said on Tuesday night.

Kenyon Martin is not coming back. J.R. Smith and Wilson Chandler are stuck in China. That leaves the Nuggets with five experienced players. Arron Aflallo, Danilo Gallinari, Ty Lawson, Andre Miller and Chris “Birdman” Anderson.

Oh, and Al Harrington, if you want to count him.
