DENVER (CBS4) – The Colorado Symphony features a wide range of music — both sacred and secular — during the holiday season.

This season there are three different programs being presented that lead up to the end-of-December holidays:

- Colorado Christmas, five shows on Dec. 9, 10 and 11
– Messiah by Candlelight, Dec. 13 and 14
– Too Hot To Handel, a jazz, gospel and R&B reworking of Handel’s Messiah and conducted by Marin Alsop, Dec. 16 and 17

CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody reports that the Colorado Christmas performances are a tradition that touches the heart and helps greet the holiday season. He also the Messiah by Candlelight is a choral production “that will simply steal your breath away.”
