Black Friday Might Be Over, But The Deals Keep Coming

DENVER (CBS4) - So are the good deals over now that Black Friday is over? Far from it.

CBS4 Money Saver Suzanne McCarroll was still shopping and found the deals are just beginning.

"We've heard so much about the sales so far, but today we found merchants who say their greatest discounts are still ahead," McCarroll said. "And we found a new type of sale that just arrived in Denver this week."

It's called a "pop-up sale" -- a temporary store with drastically reduced prices.

"We have a designer website called TheHipster.co and we just decided to come in before the holidays, bring in some of our merchandise which is about 70 percent off right now," Jenny Lee Walsh with The Hipster said.

They offer European, Los Angeles and New York designers with high prices that are offered for substantially less. The pop-up sale will be on the 2600 block of East Third Avenue through Wednesday, and then it will pop up again there in mid-December.

"Our best deals are yet to come," Jessica Merritt with Nora's Retro said.

Nora's Retro has better sales coming up -- 20 percent off all merchandise this Sunday, and a buy-one-get-one 50 percent off on all denim.

"We'll continue to discount up and towards Christmas and the rest of the holiday season," Merritt said.

Black Friday sales are over, but shoppers may find better deals without standing in late night or early morning lines.

"I think retailers around the state will be hiding a few more discounts under the tree for the shoppers in the month of December," Chris Howes with the Colorado Retail Council said. "I think you'll see more items on sale; especially electronics and clothing."

It may be procrastinators are the real winners this year.
