DENVER (CBS4) – Alcohol is likely to blame for a deadly crash into the South Platte River on Saturday.
A man drove his truck off an embankment and into the river bed. Rescue crews tried to save him. They said a lot of fuel was spilling and they were afraid the car could ignite.
Firefighters were able to pull the man out and started CPR, but he died.
The victim has not yet been identified.
