DENVER (CBS4) – The number of stores that will be starting their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving is a little surprising.

Some Best Buys in the metro area will be showing movies to people waiting in line beginning at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving. That’s just the beginning of how stores are courting shoppers.

Walgreens, Target, Walmart and K-Mart are all open on Thanksgiving Day. Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Macy’s and Kohl’s will all be open at midnight for Black Friday shoppers.

The Friday sales have gotten vast amounts of advertising, but some consumers are already skeptical about how much of a deal they’ll get on Black Friday.

“I think they last all season for the most part. I don’t think they’re that much better,” a shopper said.

“I think a lot of Black Fridays have limited quantities,” another shopper said.

Some Black Friday deals are available online. Check out the Holidays Section for more Black Friday tips.
