Arvada Man Goes Missing In Hawaii, Surfboard Found

OAHU, Hawaii (CBS4) – Authorities in Hawaii are searching for a missing Arvada man who apparently disappeared while surfing.

Robert Rumburg, 51, went missing in Oahu. Coast Guard crews have scoured the coast by helicopter and jet ski, but there is still no sign of him.

CBS affiliate KGMB-TV in Hawaii reported that Rumburg missed his flight back to Colorado late Wednesday night.

Rumburg told his friends he planned on surfing during his time in Hawaii. His surfboard was found off shore, but no one actually saw him in the water.

Rumberg is said to be in excellent health and has no medical issues, but he was apparently not a very experienced surfer.
