Decker's Girlfriend, Jessie James, Set To Sing At Half

DENVER (AP) — Wide receiver Eric Decker has particular interest in the halftime show at the Denver Broncos' game against the New York Jets on Thursday night.

His girlfriend, country singer Jessie James, will perform at Sports Authority Field during the break.

Decker feigned ignorance when asked about it Wednesday after talking about facing cornerback Darrelle Revis.

"Who's the halftime entertainer? Some lady, a beautiful girl?" he asked. "I'm excited. I wish I could sneak out, but don't tell Coach Fox. I've got somebody recording it for me.

"We were there yesterday for her last rehearsal, and it was fun seeing her out there. She's just getting back into it, she took a little time off to write her record and now she's getting back into it."

One thing he won't do is emulate Buffalo receiver David Nelson, who caught a touchdown pass Sunday, then went all the way to the other end of the field to hand the ball to his girlfriend, a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

"She's going to be up in one of those suites," Decker explained. "So, I'm not climbing the wall and trekking up there. Maybe I'll throw it to her."

Decker has emerged as the Broncos' best receiver in his second season in Denver. He has seven touchdown catches in his last eight games.
