ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) – It’s safe to say the new King Soopers store in Arvada is a hit with shoppers.

The new Marketplace store at 80th and Wadsworth held its grand opening on Sunday.

So many people showed up that there were traffic jams.

The renovated store offers furniture, jewelry, bedding and baby supplies in addition to traditional grocery items.

There are currently two other King Soopers Marketplace stores in Colorado — one in Fort Collins and one in Greeley. Another Marketplace is set to open soon in Commerce City’s Reunion neighborhood.
