Bear Gets Trapped In Car In Estes Park
ESTES PARK, Colo. (CBS4) – A warning to homeowners in the mountains — not all bears are hibernating for the winter.
An Estes Park family says a bear broke into their car last week looking for food. The Estes Park News reports the bear got trapped, panicked and started clawing at the dashboard, ceiling and seats. It managed to open a door and run away.
Family members think they left a candy wrapper in the car.
The damage is estimated at $35,000.
