Occupy Denver Protesters Descend On Downtown Denver Hotel

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver arrested another Occupy Denver protester Friday afternoon. This latest arrest happened during a demonstration outside a private conference at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The political group "Freedom Works" said they were gathering for a conference when a handful of Occupy Denver protesters rushed their room, trying to nudge their way inside.

The protesters were asked to leave but one person refused and was arrested for trespassing.

A Freedom Works spokeswoman said the protesters had been taunting them on Twitter for the past few days and threatened to attend their conference.

"It is time to stop this, this is just ridiculous that we can't even have a private conference in a hotel with people trying to barge in on us. It's crazy," said Freedom Works spokeswoman Tabitha Hale.

The demonstrators gathered outside the hotel but there weren't any other issues. The hotel manager said their security staff and Denver police will stay on patrol to help keep the peace.
