90-Year-Old Suffers Burns After House Fire In Evergreen

EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4) - An elderly man suffered burns when his home was destroyed by fire. It broke out early Monday afternoon on Meadow View Road in Evergreen.

There are no hydrants near the home so fire crews had to shuttle in tankers of water from another area. The flames spread from the house to the surrounding acreage.

It took more than 30 firefighters and two wildland teams to put the fires out.

The 90-year-old victim is in stable condition with burns to his hands.
