Woman Hit By Light Rail Was Listening To An iPod

DENVER (CBS4) - A light rail accident critically injured a woman Friday afternoon.

It happened at Speer Boulevard and Stout Street. Witnesses told police the woman, identified as Laura Triem, 21, waited for the eastbound train to cross but she failed to look the other way and was hit by the westbound train.

Witnesses also said the woman might have been distracted because she was wearing headphones from an iPod.

Triem's family told CBS4 she remains in critical condition.
