Udall Hosting Hearing At Mesa Verde National Park

MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (AP) - Sen. Mark Udall of Colorado is hosting a Senate subcommittee hearing at Mesa Verde National Park.

The purpose of the National Parks Subcommittee hearing Saturday is to examine issues affecting management of archaeological, cultural, and historic resources in national parks.

The scheduled panelists include Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Chairman Gary Hayes and James Dyer, who is a former board member of the Mesa Verde Foundation in Durango. Gail Dethloff of the National Parks Conservation Association based in Fort Collins also is listed on the panel.
