Bridge Work Means Weekend Closures For I-25, Santa Fe

DENVER (CBS4) - Get ready for multiple closures and detours around Interstate 25 and Santa Fe this weekend.

The Colorado Department of Transportation will be installing new bridge girders as part of the reconstruction of the interchange.

That means all lanes of northbound I-25 at Santa Fe will be shut down on Friday night from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Saturday.

Also, both directions of Santa Fe under I-25 will be closed all weekend long, starting at 10 p.m. Friday until 5:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Detours will be posted, but drivers will generally want to avoid the area because there will be plenty of delays.
