Free Ice Skating Returns To 16th Street Mall This Winter

DENVER (CBS4) – Free ice skating will return to downtown Denver this winter.

The rink at Skyline Park will open on Nov. 25 and stay open until Valentine’s Day.

Skating is free for those who bring their own skates. Rentals are just $2.

Last year 31,000 skaters enjoyed the rink in its very first year. They enjoyed live concerts, broomball games, skating performances, and a variety of other spontaneous occurrences, including six wedding proposals and a wedding party photo shoot.

There are many songs of Michael’s that I love and as a young girl I (as all other young girls did!) had the biggest crush. As I got older I fell out of love and as an adult I liked his music less and less but no one can every say that he did not have atelnt and break multiple barriers for the generation of performers that came after him.I hope he is finally at peace, something I think eluded him in life. This is definitely a loss of an awesome atelnt. RIP – MJJ.
