Station On West Light Rail Line Opens

DENVER (CBS4) - The first light rail station on the West Rail Line opened to the public on Monday morning.

The line integrates the Central Platte Valley tracks into the West Rail Line. The new Auraria West station is located northwest of its old location.

The 12-mile line is the first line of Regional Transportation District's FasTracks program to start construction. When it's completed it will stretch out to Golden.

The station is part of RTD's FasTracks program.
