ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Tim Tebow is still the Denver Broncos’ starting quarterback, at least for another week.

Broncos coach John Fox said he’s sticking with his embattled young signal-caller following Denver’s 45-10 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Fox made it clear, however, that Tebow needs to quickly improve as a pocket passer to remain the starter.

Tebow has completed less than 50 percent of his passes and been sacked 13 times in his two starts, including a win at Miami in which he played poorly for 55 minutes. He replaced an ineffective Kyle Orton at halftime against San Diego on Oct. 9.

Against the Lions, he had two turnovers that were turned into touchdowns and was sacked seven times. His only touchdown toss came after the Lions had a 42-point lead.

I can’t find the questions about Tebow, so I’ll just leave a comment. Give him a chance! My goodness, we seem to forget that Elway made mistakes in his day and look what he became. Yes, I’m still rooting for Tim Tebow!

  • Dave

We can only hope that Shebow’s imaginary diety is more helpful this week than last.

  • Art McIntire

Ya I agree with Janelle. And John had to adapt to Dan Reese’s plays.
Its just another rebuilding season. Why not stay with Tim???
And Kyle Ortin, couldn’t play well with that many sacks. 8 men on the line??

  • Art McIntire

A short season, due to strike. Another new coach and his methods,
players leaving the team. Its always something with this team. I dont care whos
    passing the ball.

  • Michelle

I think the “blame game” goes to the play calling, offensive line, and the fact the Broncos have NO receivers!

  • Art McIntire

Agreed. Its almost like they are setting Tebow to fail.

  • Art McIntire

Out of the Head Coaches mouth. I’m giving Tim one more week to prove himself. You dont think the Raiders aren’t licking their chops, waiting to sack tim. Lol

  • Cleve Kelly

THE WHOLE, TEAM NEED’S , MORE THAN TEBOW, THE DEFENCE SUCKS, THE
OFFENCE, LOOK’S SLOPPY. WHAT NEXT YEAR, HAHAHA.
