GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) – A man and a woman who described themselves as gypsies are accused of tricking elderly Coloradans and robbing them in their homes.

The Colorado Attorney General’s office on Friday announced the indictment of Javon Ristick, 26, and Erik Burt, 27. Arrest warrants have been issued for both suspects.

The two are suspected of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from 10 different homes located on the Front Range and on the Eastern Plains.

Authorities say the two people were able to getting into the victims’ homes by pretending they were relatives or neighbors and asking if they could use their bathrooms.

“Ristick is suspected of distracting the victims through conversation while Burt found and stole cash, jewelry, collector coins and other items,” the DA’s office wrote in a prepared statement.

The homes were located in Denver, Lakewood, Arvada, Golden and Colorado Springs, plus Strasburg and Lincoln County out east.

I would be surprised if they were real gypsies but stranger things have happened, they dont look like gypsies to me from running into them in NYC back in the 80’s. Could be though.
