Three Cars Torched At Lakewood Apartment Complex Overnight

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)– Fire investigators are trying to figure out what started a fire that torched three cars at an apartment complex in Lakewood.

The flames spread from one car to the next in a parking lot at 10555 West Jewell at about 9 a.m. Thursday.

The gas tank ruptured in one of the vehicles, catching fire and burning all the way across the street.

Some of the gas seeped into a drainage grate, but the City of Lakewood said they were able to clean it up.
