Crew Helps Rescue Teen From Mine Shaft In Golden
GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - A 17-year-old male who was exploring a mine shaft with a friend Monday night needed help from rescue crews after getting stuck on a ledge.
Authorities told CBS4 the friends were exploring in the area of 1400 Jesse Lane on the north side of Golden when the ground gave out in the mine shaft sometime before 8 p.m. The teen wasn't hurt but got scared and the other teen got out of the mine and contacted police.
The teen was safely out of the mine at about 8:30 p.m.
