BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)– Police in Boulder are investigating an early morning attack involving a young woman walking alone.

It happened in the area of Bighorn and Star Lane at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The Boulder woman told police that a man driving by exited his car and attempted to sexually assault her.

The suspect is described as white, 20-40 years old, six-foot to six-foot-two, heavy set, bald, wearing a light-colored button-down shirt and black pants.

The suspect was driving a yellow sedan that appeared to be a taxicab. He drove away from the scene in that car.

The victim was treated and released at a local hospital.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call Boulder Police. Those who have information but wish to remain anonymous may contact the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-444-3776.
