Video To Be Shown In Snowboarder Crash Trial

ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - A district court judge has ruled that a video that allegedly shows a snowboarder slamming into a child on a Snowmass slope can be used in a trial that begins Friday.

Authorities have charged Travis Luffman, 22, of Pfafftown, N.C., with reckless endangerment and third-degree assault, both misdemeanors. Authorities say Luffman was at fault after he collided with a 7-year-old child from Brazil last spring.

According to the Aspen Daily News, one of the child's relatives was videotaping him skiing at the time of the accident. Defense attorneys objected, saying there was no way to verify the video.
