DeShazer said the investigation revealed a green Mitsubishi 3000 going northbound on Chambers struck a black Audi that was initially believed to have been turning onto northbound Chambers from the eastbound I-70 off ramp.

"Officers later determined the Audi had been southbound on Chambers attempting to make a turn to the eastbound I-70 on ramp," DeShazer said.

He said the Mitsubishi impacted the passenger door of the Audi.

Investigators continue to work on the reconstruction of the accident and whether speed, alcohol, drugs or distracted driving contributed to the crash.

North Chambers Road was closed for approximately 4 hours while the accident was investigated.
