Aspen Skico Disappointed With Growth Rate
ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Aspen Skiing Co. executives are promising to do better this year after the company's skier visits failed to match the growth rates of the Colorado ski industry last winter.
Senior vice president David Perry says the company's 1.7 percent growth was disappointing at a time when the 22 members of Colorado Ski Country USA reported 2.6 percent increase.
According to the Aspen Times, Perry says other resorts got more traffic because they got more snow. He also says Aspen and Snowmass Village are facing stiffer competition than in past seasons.
