Pueblo Police Say Burglars Targeting Gold

PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) – Pueblo police say burglars are targeting jewelry as the price of gold continues to soar.

Police say nearly 250 burglaries have been reported since July.

Sgt. Mark Duran tells the Pueblo Chieftain burglaries have increased dramatically after the price of gold hit a high of about $1,890 an ounce in August.
