CU Chancellor Wants Car-Free Campus

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- The University of Colorado chancellor wants students to walk or ride their bike to class. He wants the Boulder campus to go car free.

Phil DiStefano believes it’s a matter of safety. He envisions off-campus parking and a shuttle system.

DiStefano said he already relies on the bus on days he doesn’t have off-campus meetings.

If students would put down hand held devices they could be more responsible and have the luxury of cars on the road for their convenience. Seems funny that cars have been on campus’s since the invention of the car and now this generation can’t handle it……….says a lot to me! Stop being like babies and “man up”. Maybe they should ban the use of hand held devices while crossing the street? That seems fairer to me.
