Barrage Of Pumpkins Get Launched In The Air In Aurora
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - During the cold weather over the weekend an annual fall tradition lived on at a new location in Aurora.
Pumpkin launchers kicked off the fall season at the Punkin Chuckin event Saturday at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds.
Teams built catapults and competed to see whose machine could launch a pumpkin the farthest.
One competitor said the snow didn't hold him back or his launch.
In years past the event had been held at Delaney Farm, but the new location allows more space for those pumpkins to fly.
Some were covering a distance of more than 2,000 feet.
