Aurora Police Release Sketch Of Attempted Abduction Suspect

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Aurora police have released a sketch of a suspect in an attempted child abduction.

Sgt. Cassidee Carlson with Aurora police said the sketch was provided by a 13-year-old girl who said a man tried to abduct her last Thursday.

The attempted abduction happened at about 7:15 a.m. in the 17200 block of E. Brown Circle. The 13-year-old girl was walking to school when the man approached the girl and asked if she would help him find his dog. When the girl told the man she had to go to school, he allegedly grabbed her by the wrist and tried to pull her toward his vehicle, which was parked nearby.

The girl was able to get away from him and run to school, where she told officials who then notified police.

The suspect is described as being 20 to 40 years old, over 6 feet tall, thin, with blond hair, crooked teeth and a possible injury to one of his hands. He was possibly driving a white Chrysler or Dodge minivan.
