Police Search For Attempted Child Abduction Suspect

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora are searching for a man who tried to take a little girl as she was walking to school.

It happened at about 7:15 a.m. on Thursday in the 17200 block of E. Brown Circle. A 13-year-old girl was walking to school when the man approached the girl and asked if she would help him find his dog.

When the girl told the man she had to go to school, he allegedly grabbed her by the wrist and tried to pull her toward his vehicle, which was parked nearby.

The girl was able to get away from him and run to school, where she told officials who then notified police.

Officers were not able to find the suspect when they searched for him.

The man is described as being 20 to 40 years old, over 6 feet all, thin with blond hair, crooked teeth and a possible injury to one of his hands. The suspect vehicle is described as a white Chrysler or Dodge Minivan.
