Police Investigate Pedestrian Fall From Overpass

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder are investigating a pedestrian who was seriously injured when she fell from the Highway 36 overpass into traffic on Baseline Road.

It happened just before 4 p.m. Friday. The woman fell into the westbound lanes, but was not hit by any vehicles traveling on Baseline.

The woman was rushed to Boulder Community Hospital. She suffered head injuries that are possibly life threatening. The woman has not been positively identified by police, but she appears to be in her late 20s or early 30s.

Police said it does not appear the woman was struck by a vehicle on the overpass. Police are trying to determine why she fell.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area of Baseline and Highway 36 at the time of the fall. Witnesses may call Dispatch at 303-441-3333 or the Boulder Police Department's Tip Line at 303-441-1974.
