There’s a cyber sale going on at www.target.com this week. Shipping on many items is free with a $50 minimum purchase. If you check it out, make sure you also click on “clearance” to find even better deals. And keep in mind many coupons have Web coupons, so you may be able to tack those on as well.
Target sometimes offers an additional $5 off or 10 percent off Web purchases, so do a coupon search by typing in “Target.com coupon code” before you buy. There were some toy, electronic and shoe deals I noticed on sale if you want to do some Christmas shopping early.
On the racks at Target stores there are some women’s clothing bargains to be had at 75 percent off. Women’s long shorts for $4.75 and kids’ Converse One Star sneaks for about $6 are among my finds. Of course different stores mark down at different times. Generally speaking, though, September is an excellent time to buy clothing. The sales are on post-back-to-school, post-Labor Day, and post-Summer.
Also, keep in mind this fall clothing prices are expected to rise by around 10 percent because of increased material costs, so buying now is smart.
If you’re getting ready to buy any airline tickets for Thanksgiving or the holiday season, you may want to wait a couple more weeks. October is typically a better month for airfare, according to travel websites.
So please log on and tune in to CBS4 Morning News next week when I’ll be discussing ideas for healthy, inexpensive school lunches and snacks.
Have a great week!
