Boulder Students Talk To Astronaut At The Space Station

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - NASA gave students in Boulder an incredible learning experience Tuesday morning as students talked live with an astronaut on the International Space Station.

The event was broadcast on NASA TV. The students from University Hill and Casey middle schools got to ask Cdr. Mike Fossum questions about what life is like on the space station.

One student asked Fossum what he eats in space.

"A lot of the same stuff you eat at home, they are just packaged differently," Fossum said. "If we want a glass of orange juice, it would make a lot of mess, so what we do is have orange juice in a bag."

The students also asked how the astronauts exercise and sleep in zero gravity.
