Another Toddler Bitten By Coyote In Broomfield Neighborhood

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) - A 3-year-old girl has minor injuries after being bitten by a coyote in her yard in the Anthem sub-division of Broomfield.

There have been a series of attacks by coyote in that neighborhood this summer.

According to Broomfield police, the girl's family was in their backyard Monday evening when a coyote reportedly came from the open space and bit the girl on the knee. The coyote ran back into the open space after the girl screamed.

The girl was treated at a local urgent care facility.

Broomfield police notified Colorado Parks and Wildlife of the incident and it has been classified as "dangerous coyote behavior."

Parks and Wildlife is looking for the coyote.

Broomfield is reminding residents not to feed coyotes and not to leave pets unattended in their yards.
