Football Fans Can Expect Heightened Security At Sports Authority Field At Mile High

DENVER (CBS4)- Football fans can expect heightened security measures at Sports Authority Field at Mile High at both the Denver Broncos game on Sunday and the Rocky Mountain Showdown on Saturday.

The NFL has ordered all 32 teams to conduct "enhanced pat-downs" as fans enter the stadiums. Those pat-downs went into effect when regular season games resumed last weekend.

Previously, ticket holders were patted down only from the waist up, but now security will also pat down from the ankles up.

During the University of Colorado- Colorado State University game on Saturday, police in Denver will be looking for underage drinkers tailgating before kickoff.

Police in both uniform and undercover will be patrolling the parking lots and streets looking for those fans who have had a little too much to drink.
